Raiders 2025 AGM

Tuesday 18th November, 7pm

2024 Minutes

No objections to the published 2024 minutes


Managers’ Update

End of Season Survey

  • Overwhelmingly positive

  • Success of the new pink team

Training and Development 

  • Appreciate all the volunteers that helped enable training

  • Large increase in member size and positive turnouts to training meant hard to cater training for all levels

  • Next year, the aim is for more batting practice, external trainers and tiered development 

Tournaments 

  • About 20 tournaments entered for 27 teams

  • EOS survey requested more comms, and a balance between social and competitive squads

  • Raiders tournament was a rousing success with special mentions to two raiders who won the spirit of raiders award (Mary and Katie G)

  • Glam slam was also a major success with the last minute change of location not dampening the mood. Karly was pivotal to this tournament and aims to run both a pre season and post season glam slam next season

Socials

  • Big praise to Tom for all the events this year

  • Held picnics, sports days, pre and post season parties

  • Feedback from EOS was for more varied events. Noted that there was a board game social pre season

Comms

  • EOS survey showed great positivity towards comms and the work Harry put in for clear communication 

  • EOS survey requested more photos on socials and match recaps

Club Operation and Management 

  • From the EOS, some members requested for more diversity amongst teams in the committee - club managers noted that everyone is welcome to volunteer for committee and encouraged people to do so. 


Financial Report from Kurt

  • The creation of pink team in the publishing league led to some financial unknowns this year

  • Raiders membership fees remained the same this year due to Deliveroo funds

  • Deliveroo fund is now depleted

  • Andy and Harry were successful in securing a grant from Sport England. 

  • LSL fees are not expected to increase next year

  • No recommendation to raise Raiders membership fees
