MEMBERSHIP FEES

The Club offers two levels of membership, as well as discounted full memberships. Anyone who wants to play in a league as a regular player must purchase full membership to be eligible to play. By signing up to become a member you are agreeing to adhere to the Club Rules, Constitution and Code of Conduct.

FULL MEMBERSHIP: £70


Training. We run training sessions in the run up to the season and throughout the year on Wandsworth Common. We also run special clinics with professional trainers. Use of training equipment and kit. Rostered to a regular league or development team. Inclusion in the Club’s tournament team general roster. Players are chosen for a tournament team subject to eligibility and at captain's discretion. (tournament fees still apply)




CASUAL MEMBERSHIP: £40


This membership is for players who wish to be part of the Club but can not commit to playing on a regular basis. It includes: Training. All benefits of training and equipment listed in Full Membership. Inclusion in the Club league game pool player roster. Per London Softball League rules, once you play 4 games for a team, you are required to be rostered to that team and will be required to pay the Club the difference between Casual and Full Membership. (£30) Inclusion in the Club’s tournament team general roster. Players are chosen for a tournament team subject to eligibility and at captain's discretion. (tournament fees still apply)




FULL MEMBERSHIP (CONCESSION): £35


Concessions for full-time students, pensioners and those on a low income who are collecting benefits can be made available upon application. Please email the Treasurer with your proof of concession.





HOW MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE USED

The biggest outlay for the club is pitch bookings. We need to pay various councils to allow us to reserve spaces for training and for league games.

We also pay London Softball League a fee for each team we enter into the league, which also includes a Team Insurance Policy taken out by the British Softball Federation.

Furthermore we pay for expert coaches to run training sessions for us, and we pay for training equipment, bases, match balls and first aid kits.

As the social side is an important part of the the club's ethos, we also set aside a sum of money each year for our Start and End of Season Parties as well as a fee that allows us to participate in Pride in London.

ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS

Please note that a £5 fee is due for every league game you play in, and tournament fees are self-funded by each member paying for the tournaments they participate in. Members are also expected to purchase their own kit after completing a season, particularly their own glove.
